How to disable warnings and error messages in Firefox

Firefox is a great choice for Autosurfing: It is stable and fast, includes a pop-up blocker and it does not choke on bad html pages or malicious javascript tags.
But there is one pretty major downside of Firefox which aint good for use with autosurf programs at all: It keeps displaying error messages and warning popups! These message windows ("Could not be loaded... Timed out... Authorization failed...") slow down surfing tremendously and can even prevent the autosurf bar from loading the next website, thus costing you lots of pageviews.
So how do you disable these windows?

Start Firefox and change the URL to say "about:config". A list of Firefox configuration preferences will come up.
Now scroll down until you see the entry "browser.xul.error_pages.enabled" and change this entry to state "True".
Now you can continue surfing. From now on, Firefox will display a warning page instead of popping up an error message.

Additionally, you can mess with the timeout settings since there are always a few slower websites in the rotations. If you choose to do this, set the filter in your Firefox config dialog to say "timeout", then modify all "network.http" values.

These small config changes make Firefox an even better browser to use with autosurf programs!
